Relationship... it is the biggest worry and concern for us as humans. Our relationship with ourselves, with God, our parents, our children, our lovers, our neighbors, co-workers, the world around us, the universe, pets, animals, homes, possessions, our bodies, minds, emotions, attitudes, food, money the list of worries can go on and on but really we have a relationship with everything. And with everything we want to have a good relationship one where we are happy and peace with ourselves, yet how many of you are happy and at peace?
In the biggest game of worry many people often look out first, very rarely looking inside. The most important relationship you can have and the only set of worry you should be taking on is with the relationship you have with self... If you are not at peace with how, who and what you are then it is very unlikely you can look out and be happy and at peace with all other relationship.
Here is the big kicker, often an ending to a very intimate relationship will be a catalyst for taking a good hard look at self. It is often a time of misery, sadness, loneliness, maybe some depression. Again an intimate relationship is with anything you are involved with... and an end of, that is cause for some of the biggest learning.
Looking back this year what relationship was a catalyst for change for you? I wanted to take a few minutes in gratitude for that catalyst...
Expectation, a very special expectation I have for you in the new year, with all the impending doom and gloom I have heard so much about I am actually challenging you, that for the remainder of this year 2011 and up until next year at this time that your understanding of self improves. That you look at your role in what ever plays out for you, investigate your relationship with yourself and when you do then next year if not sooner I expect your the light in the storm, I expect that you then will become the peace and happiness this world so desperately needs.
